How does red light therapy work?

Have you noticed that your skin gets thinner as you get older? Unfortunately, we all get older, but we can at least make our skin look younger.

Aged skin produces less collagen, resulting in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, creases, folds and furrows. Red light therapy rejuvenates the production of collagen, plumping the skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Our mon amie red light therapy collagen beds cover the entire body. Visually these machines look like sunbeds, but the effects are very different. Whilst you can add UV whilst using a mon amie bed, this is entirely optional.

Our mon amie red light therapy bed is the only one of it's type in the Jersey and gives impressive results. Our most popular bed, the collagen bed has a mixture of (optional) UV and red light therapy tubes. The red light tubes promote collagen growth in the skin which improves skin elasticity and healing therefore improving overall skin condition and the signs of fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, stretch marks, eczema, psoriasis and acne. Recommended usage varies according to your goals.

“You’re never too old to become younger.”

A Three Stage Process to Younger Looking Skin - the Three R’s

Revitalization

With approximately 10 uses of 20 minutes each over a period of 3 to 4 weeks the metabolism is activated, the skin is detoxified and the skin surface improves.

Regeneration

With approximately 20 uses of 20 minutes each over a period of 5 to 7 weeks, impurities heal, the skin appears clearer, fresher and healthier, moisture content increases.

Retightening

With approximately 30 uses of 20 minutes each over a period of 8 to 10 weeks the skin regains elasticity through stabilization of the collagen structure; lines and wrinkles are filled in.
